It was good to return to the Marygreen Manor Hotel, ideally situated in the heart of Brentwood, Essex for the marriage of Lynne to Andy. Hot summer weather together with old world Tudor charm and the warm and friendly atmosphere of this historic hotel was a recipe for success for Lynne and Andy and their family and friends.
The Marygreen Manor is a Tudor Manor House dating from the 16th Century a stunning venue, set in beautiful grounds, provided the perfect backdrop to my wedding photography. Its abundance of oak beams and quaint features that are steeped in history and exude character and charm.
With the help of sister Karen, Lynne had been planning for the big day and nothing was left to chance. Lynne looked lovely in a burgundy dress with floral detail and the bridesmaids’ dresses which were white with a burgundy sash co-ordinated beautifully.
The boys wore smart suits, (apart from Andy’s son Luke who wore his military uniform) and had burgundy ties and red roses in their lapels. Lynne’s nephew Lewis gave her away. It was very much a family affair.
It was an emotional moment for Andy when Lynne walked down the aisle and he recounted this moment when giving his speech, having recently lost his Mum they needed some happiness and a chance to celebrate. Lynne and Andy looked so happy together, it was a lovely wedding celebration and the support of family and friends was very much in evidence.
The speeches were emotional, Mum was remembered and we realised that in spite of being a Yorkshire man Andy was actually a big softie! Toastmaster Chris found a sword for the cake cutting. As Lynne said ‘it was certainly fun’!
